Hello and welcome to The Wholesale Hive. A place to come for community, education and inspiration. If you’re interested in learning how to sell your products wholesale on platforms, or just want to learn more about the e-commerce space, then this is the place for you!
I'm Amy, the designer and founder of Grace Girl Beads. Almost 10 years ago I started my journey into the retail world and eventually made my way into the wholesale side of the business. I’m here to share my experiences and help others who are on their own journey into the world of wholesaling. I’m excited to share what I've learned along the way, so you can avoid some mistakes that took me years to learn.
In the coming weeks, you'll learn more about me and my first business, Grace Girl Beads. I’ll be sharing with you my story of how I started, how it grew and what I learned along the way. I’ll also be sharing tips on how to make your business successful as well as some great resources to help get started in this wholesale world. So, follow along for more great information, resources to help you grow your business and more tips for success. I hope you'll join me on this journey as we explore wholesaling together!
Why "Hive"??? A hive by definition is a place swarming with activity. I like to think of it as a community. We all have a hive: A place where we go to be ourselves and connect with others in a way that feels like home.
I read a story about a bee keeper who found three little bees stuck in the honey he gathered from the hive. He scooped them out knowing they would probably be stuck in the honey and eventually die. When checking back later he discovered that some of the other bees were cleaning off bees covered in honey. After coming back a short time later, only one bee was left, still being tended to by her bee sisters(99% of bees in a hive are female). Coming back later still, that one little bee had been cleaned enough to fly away.
That my friends is the very definition of community. My dream for this "Hive" is to be able to help others find that place, where they feel like they belong and can contribute. I want us to work together as a community of people who are all striving toward the same goals.
